Statement Accounts represent the major family account divisions within QikKids. A statement account is used to group transactions for each family into a unit that can include opening and closing balances, and optionally separate banking records. QikKids is preset with several of the most common statement accounts:
General - the main account used for child care fees.
Bonds - an account used to store bond related transactions.
BSC - if you wish to keep After School Care and Before School Care accounts completely separate, use this account to store BSC transactions and rename the General account to ASC.
Fundraising - used to keep track of fundraising balances for each family.
VAC - if you wish to keep Vacation Care and After School Care accounts completely separate, use this account to store VAC transactions and rename the General account to ASC.
Name
The name of the statement account. This will appear on the vertical tab of the families list, so keep the name as short as possible.
Include in Total Balance
When running multiple statement accounts, it is sometimes useful to show a combined balance on the Accounts Screen and on statements. For example, if you separate Vacation Care and After School Care you may prefer to be able to quickly give a family a total balance figure that includes both these accounts. Bond accounts would typically not be included in a total balances.
