The database options screen contains local and network connection data for your QikKids database.
Microsoft Access
The Data File Location field contains the path to the folder containing your QikKids data file. Use (...) to open a file browser window. See Network Configuration (QikKids 4 Professional) for information on installing QikKids on a network.
SQL Server
Use Trusted Connection
Tick to have QikKids attempt to log into SQL Server using the Windows credentials of the current user.
Encrypt Communication
Tick to have QikKids initiate an SSL connection to SQL Server. To do this, SQL Server must have a valid certificate for each client connecting.
Note: If you wish to use SSL, it's generally easier to configure SQL Server to require the connection than have it forced from the client side. Leave this unticked if you intend to enable SSL from SQL Server
Server Details
The login details for SQL Server. Your network administrator can give you this information.
SQL Tools
The SQL Tools screen provides several tools for maintaining SQL Server databases. These can be especially useful when you do not have access to a SQL Server management console.
Other
Can be used to specify a custom ODBC or ADO connection string.
