Adding and Editing Attendances

Children to Add

Select the names of one of more children to add to the roll. If the child has a permanent booking for this roll they will appear in the Enrolled list, otherwise all children can be accessed on the Other list.

Note: When entering a permanent booking, you can designate a child as a casual. This will cause them to appear on the enrolled list when adding names, even though they do not have regular attendance days.

Insert As

Note: The major difference between a charged booking and a marked attendance is that the system permanently records marked attendances for auditing. Charged bookings are typically used to enable the system to provide accounts that include anticipated attendances. Once the actual attendance has occurred charged bookings should always be marked or removed.

Attendance

Select the appropriate fee. If -B- Default Booking or -C- Default Casual is selected, QikKids will search for a relevant permanent booking to see if there is default fee specified, otherwise it will use the default booking or casual fee specified for that roll.

Times

If necessary you can specify the times, or total hours for a particular attendance. Total Hours are entered as a decimal figure (ie 1.5 = 90 minutes).

Situations that may require times or total hours include:

Surcharge

On occasion you may need to add additional charges on top of the normal fee. Typical uses include one-off excursions or late fees. If there are fixed surcharges that are commonly used then it may be worth setting them up as a fee. You must enter a fee and a description if you tick the surcharge box.

Roll Notes

You can use the roll notes field as a reminder for any special information you have relating to this attendance. Roll notes appear on both the Rolls screen and some formats of the Sign In / Out sheets.
