Allows the user to enter general information.
Account name
The general name given to the family. This is the name that appears in the family list and should be used to correct any errors in the family account name.
Note: If a family name changes, do not delete and create a new family account, just edit the account name.
Account Number
This is the QikKids generated account number for the family. All families across an entire database are guaranteed to have a unique account number.
Accounts Contact
One person must be the designated account contact. Billing related items, such as statements are addressed to this contact. See Contacts.
Receipt Name
The name that will be used on receipts. Generally this is the same as the family account name, though in situations such as employer sponsored care it may be necessary to receipt to a third party.
Parenting
Describes the family's parenting arrangements. This information may be required in the Childcare Census.
Region
When administering multiple centres, assigning a family to a region makes it possible to search for vacancies in other centres that service this region.
Main Centre
When administering multiple centres, if a family uses two or more centres you can designate the main centre.
Receipt / Account Slip Run Options
Print Payment - indicates that this family receives printed payment receipts. In a payment receipt run, QikKids will skip any families that do not have this option ticked.
Print Registered Carer - if you operate a registered care service you must print Registered Carer Receipts in order for families to claim back the minimum rate.
Print Account Slips - indicates that this family receives print account slips. In an account slip run QikKids will skip any families that do not have this option ticked.
Statement Runs
One of the important requirements for CCB is that you regularly inform parents of their weekly CCB entitlement. Most services will need to do regular statement runs, so you can choose which people are to be included, and how they are to receive the statement.
Skip – don't include this account in the statement run.
Print – include this statement in the print run.
Email – send this statement via email.
Emailing statements is by far the easiest and cheapest alternative. To use QikKid's email facilities you must set up your SMTP mail server settings and choose the file format for the emailed statement.
Currently QikKids supports 2 email formats:
For more information on configuring e-mail see Mail Server (Database Options).
For more information on setting email formats see Advanced (Computer Options).
