Sample Data

When running QikKids 4 for the first time you will be asked which service version you wish to trial. After purchasing the program, entering your registration code will automatically change the trial version into the full version.

Let’s get started.

Double click the icon on your desktop.

• QikKids Login will appear with User: Administrator
• For the Trial Version the user name is Administrator and no password is needed.

Click OK

The Welcome Screen is displayed:

Click on the version of QikKids you would like to use depending on the type of service you run. (See Installing QikKids 4 -Setup Type).

• The program will ask you to confirm the choice you have selected. If it is correct click Yes.
• If you would like to make a different choice click No and make another choice.
• You will be reminded that sample data will be displayed and that this must be cleared when you are ready to enter your own service's data (See Clearing Sample Data). The sample data is a good way to practise using the program without using your own data. Click OK

You may now see an update reminder. If you wish to update immediately, follow the instructions below.

Note: We recommend routine updating of QikKids 4. This ensures you have the latest patches and updates for the program as well as additional changes required by FaCS and Centrelink.

• Clicking on Check For Updates Now will launch Smart Update. You will be connected to the QikKids update server and any updates to the program will be downloaded and installed. Note: you will need to be connected to the Internet for this to work. Updates can be made at any time once the program is operational. For further information see Software Updates.
• QikKids 4 will open if you click Remind Me Later
